The National Garden Scheme: 6 Plantation Rise, Worthing open BY ARRANGEMENT for groups – details of how to arrange a bespoke visit below and on the NGS website.

You might be amazed when you step through the garden gate to 6 Plantation Rise – be prepared for a very pleasant surprise! The garden has been landscaped the garden to give the appearance of a much larger space, with clever use made of evergreen shrubs, azaleas, rhododendrons and acers, which enclose the 70’ x 80’ garden. This enhances the flower decked pergolas, folly and summerhouse, which overlooks the pond. Walkways surround the outside of the garden to enable easy access for pruning and the garden is designed so that it looks good throughout the year. Planting includes 9 ‘Tristis’ silver birches, which are semi pendula, plus a lovely combination of primroses, anemones and daffodils in Spring and a profusion of roses, clematis and perennials in Summer.
Wheelchair access to patios only with a good view of the garden.

This garden opens By Arrangement from Mar 2023 to Sep 2023 for groups of between 6 and 20. This means the garden welcomes visitors on pre-agreed dates.

The National Garden Scheme
Founded in 1927 by the Queen’s Nursing Institute to raise funds for community nursing means that gardens, health and community are at the heart of what we do at the National Garden Scheme. Every ticket bought, every garden visited, and every cake and cup of tea savoured translates into millions of pounds in donations not only to some of the UK’s best loved nursing and health charities but to garden charities and community projects too.
In 2022 we made donations of 3.11 million. Beneficiaries include Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support and Parkinson’s UK.

Visit https://ngs.org.uk for more information about the work of the National Garden Scheme, to search for gardens opening in your area or to find out how to open your own garden.
