Lindfield Repair Cafe

The ethos of Lindfield Repair Cafe is to reduce waste by repairing instead of discarding. This month the focus will be even greener with an opportunity to bring along plants which may not be looking as healthy as they should.

National Gardening Week 2022 is held between 2nd and 8th of May and is run by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to raise awareness of gardening and horticulture, and to encourage more people to take part in the healthy and productive outdoor activity of gardening.

With perfect timing on Saturday 7th May, Lindfield Horticultural Society experts will be on hand at the Repair Cafe to look at your plants (or photos of plants if it’s not possible to bring them in) and help you to work out what is wrong with them and how they may be restored to good health.

This is also be a good time to remind visitors that the Cafe offers a tool sharpening and maintenance service so bring along your garden tools to be woken up ready for the new season ahead.

Kids Table for May
On the kids table Horticulture Society members will be on hand to show how to make their own upcycled plant pot. They’ll even be able to take home their very own plant to grow, supplied by our local Scaynes Hill garden centre, Upcountry.
