Have you thought about opening your garden with the National Garden Scheme? The owners of Channel View in Goring-by-Sea open ‘By Arrangement’ throughout August and September and love sharing their beautiful garden with visitors.

‘There is nothing more special than sharing a garden that you love with other people and at the same time making money for such a worthy cause as the nursing charities of the National Garden Scheme. During the 15 years that we have opened our garden we have met many wonderful people and shared ideas which people have appreciated. They have particularly liked the fact that our garden is a normal size suburban garden which allows them to realise what they can achieve in their own.’

If you’re passionate about your garden and your friends and family tell you how lovely it is, then it’s very likely other people will want to visit your garden too. So why not open it with the National Garden Scheme.

By opening your garden with the National Garden Scheme, you’ll join a community of like-minded garden owners and volunteers all passionate about gardens. You will share a memorable day with your visitors and help raise money for vital nursing and health charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute. Last year garden owners contributed to an impressive £3 million donation.

We’ll help publicise your openings and local volunteer teams will offer lots of support in the run up to your opening. You decide when you would like to open your garden and how often – it’s completely up to you.

Whether your garden is big or small, if you think it has quality, character and interest, we would love to hear from you to arrange a visit.
