The Manor of Dean Petworth is opening its garden for the National Garden Scheme.

The Manor of Dean is a traditional English garden of approximately 3 acres with extensive views of the South Downs. Herbaceous borders, early spring bulbs, bluebell woodland walk, walled kitchen garden with fruit, vegetables and cutting flowers. NB under long term programme of restoration, some parts of the garden may be affected.

Opening dates – Sun 5 Mar (2-5); Tue 21 Mar (10.30-12.30); Sun 23 Apr (2-5); Tue 16 May (10.30-12.30).
Admission £5, children free. Home-made teas. Book your tickets in advance on the National Garden Scheme website https://ngs.org.uk or pay on the day.

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,500 exceptional private gardens in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake. Thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors the National Garden Scheme have donated over £67 million to nursing and health charities since they were founded in 1927. In 2022 they donated £3.11 million. Beneficiaries include Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, Parkinson’s UK, Carers Trust and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
