Nature-themed scavenger hunt gets underway this summer in Warfield

This summer, Berkeley Homes is challenging all the children from Warfield and the local area to get active and connect with nature though their newly launched scavenger hunt. Designed specifically for the 65-acre country park and the Greenway at Woodhurst Park, the activity will run throughout the summer, with everyone welcome to take part.

The activity encourages participants to identify and then photograph a range of birds, animals and objects, with a sweet treat promised back at Berkeley’s Sales Suite when complete. The scavenger hunt lists are available to collect from the Sales Suite, which is located off Harvest Ride, RG42 5AA and is open daily from 10am to 5pm.

Benjamin Ivey, Director of Sales and Marketing at Berkeley Homes (Oxford & Chiltern), says: “It has been lovely to see so many people involved with the activity already and getting out around the development and country park. . Scavenger hunts are fantastic ways for children to develop their problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills and, by taking a walk outside and enjoying some fresh air, we hope this activity will help encourage everyone to take five minutes away from their screens and enjoy the local wildlife on our doorstep.”

Lisa Jarvis, member of the Residents’ Event Committee, comments: “As the community at Woodhurst Park continues to flourish, we look forward to events like these which bring everyone together and celebrate the nature living alongside us in the local area. We currently have a range of activities also lined up for residents in the coming months.”
