Local housebuilder David Wilson Kent kickstarted celebrations in Whitfield for the King’s Coronation, having sponsored Whitfield Aspen School’s Coronation event on Friday 5th May 2023. The housebuilder, who is building its Richmond Park development nearby on Richmond Way, donated £300 to the school for the celebrations.
Hosted at Whitfield Aspen School on Mayfield Road, teachers and students gathered to start a weekend of celebrations for the King’s Coronation. The afternoon saw an array of fun including singing, dancing, and of course, a ‘street’ party with lots of food and drink. Children at the school dressed up in red, white and blue and wore their crowns which were made using the £300 donation from David Wilson Kent.
Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Kent, commented: “It was so wonderful to see Whitfield Aspen School come together for their Coronation celebrations. It is so important that our local communities can enjoy milestone moments such as this as much as possible. We are proud to have worked with Whitfield Aspen School to offer our support for the event.”
Jason Cook, Headteacher at Whitfield Aspen School added: “It was great to see the whole school community come together to celebrate the King’s Coronation. The event was a testament to the community spirit here at Whitfield Aspen School. We are incredibly grateful to David Wilson Kent for its kind sponsorship and helping us make important memories for our children.”
