Local housebuilder Barratt Homes has kickstarted celebrations in Hythe for the King’s Coronation, having sponsored the Hythe Coronation Festival on Saturday 6th May 2023. The housebuilder, who is building its Martello Lakes development nearby on Dymchurch Road, donated £400 to the Hythe Festival Company in sponsorship of the live band stand event.
Hosted at the Royal Military Canal, the local community gathered to start a weekend of celebration for the King’s Coronation. Visitors were treated to live entertainment and music at the festival’s Venetian Fete Bandstand, keeping them thoroughly entertained throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The £400 donation from Barratt Kent contributed towards the costs of hosting live music throughout the afternoon, which featured performances from local musician Jennie Laine and bands such Unshackled and Gumboots.
Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Homes Kent, added: “It was so wonderful to see the community come together at the long-awaited Hythe Coronation Festival for the King’s Coronation celebrations. It is so important that our local areas can enjoy milestone moments such as this as much as possible, and that we are able to make sure the facilities are there to make it memorable. We are proud to have worked with The Hythe Festival Company to offer our support for the event – we hope that everyone who came to the festival enjoyed the music!”
Hythe Festival Company’s President, Dennis Bradley, commented: “It has been great to finally bring back the festival after a three-year hiatus in time to celebrate the King’s Coronation. The crowds were plentiful over the weekend, everyone had a smile on their face and enjoyed the music. Our festivals are a testament to the community spirit here in Hythe, and this one will go down in the history books. We are incredibly grateful to Barratt Kent for its kind sponsorship, which helped support our efforts and costs in bringing the best live entertainment to the event.”
Currently available at Martello Lakes is a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom homes, with prices starting at £182,995 for a one-bedroom apartment.
