Health and Wellbeing Day

Saturday 4 September

Burgess Hill Town Council’s largest event yet, there will be activities spread throughout St John’s Park, St John’s Church, the Town Council Help Point and the Town Centre.

Head over to the park for tasters of all different sports and fitness activities – perfect if you’ve ever fancied trying your hand at petanque or shooting some hoops.

Burgess Hill Artists will be holding a pop-up exhibition in St John’s Church from 10.00 – 3.30, with local artworks on display and the opportunity to purchase paintings, prints and cards.

The Town Centre will host a free climbing wall, electronic reaction games and the sandpit, as well as fundraising and information stalls from local Health and Wellbeing focused community groups and businesses. A number of town centre shops will also be opening their doors – visit MamaFit for free juice shots, Scrapless for a DIY Bath Salt workshop, Rocking Horse Emporium for a Painting and Decoupage demonstration, or Eco2Home for advice on healing crystals. The Town Council Help Point will be open, and will host free smoothie samples from the Impact Tasty Team, and Wellbeing MOTs from Mid Sussex Wellbeing.

There will also be free Yoga, Thai Chi and Step Aerobics to join, and dance demonstrations across the sites.

Make sure to follow the Town Council social media pages for the full programme!
