NHS Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day

The NHS Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day takes place on Monday 5 July. This is a national day of thanks to show our gratitude to all NHS and front line staff and remembrance of those who lost their lives to Covid-19. To mark the day, Burgess Hill Town Council will be unveiling a commemorative Rainbow Bench in St John’s Park, tying in with the nationwide 2 minute silence at 11am. Representatives of our voluntary and community groups will be present, as we want to recognise their hard work during the pandemic, in addition to all key workers.

This commemoration will be live streamed on the Town Council’s Facebook page.

We will also be supporting the national programme, which includes the Nation’s Toast at 1pm, and the Clapping for our Heroes and Ringing of the Church Bells at 8pm. We invite all Burgess Hill residents to join in and mark the day.
