Mayor keen to see businesses and the community working together

Newly elected Mayor, Cllr Howard Mundin is delighted to see new businesses coming to Haywards Heath and is determined to get businesses and the community groups working together to support the Town.

Cllr Mundin comments

It’s a very exciting time to become Mayor of Haywards Heath as we ease out of lockdown and see new businesses already opening in the Town. There are more businesses opening up soon and it will be wonderful to see these up and running to help restore the vibrancy of our Town Centre. I’m urging our residents to shop, enjoy and spend local to support our businesses and for these businesses to get involved in the community groups and initiatives we have operating in Haywards Heath. We have such a vast array of shops and services in our Town, everything from sports shops to local deli’s, a market selling fresh fruit, vegetables and locally grown plants and goods, plus so many wonderful café’s, restaurants and pubs. That is not to mention, the whole range of businesses we have to provide service to our residents, from banks, insurance and finance companies, to marketing, IT and garden design!

Let’s make sure we support local in our Town and I will personally be speaking to our business communities to see how they too can support our community.”

The Mayor has already officially opened the new High Street branch of A-Plan Insurance with the Minister for Employment, Mims Davies and was thrilled to see a new business offering a new service and employment opportunities coming to the Town.
